Product Warranty

James River Armory’s Warranty

James River Armory’s rifles are covered under a manufacturing warranty for a period of (6) months from date of purchase. Our manufacturing warranty covers any defects in the material or the workmanship. The parts that we are using may be up to 60-70 years old, however all of these parts have been extensively checked before they have left our shop. James River Armory will perform all warranty repairs at no charge to the customer.

If you purchased your rifle from one of our distributors the six month manufacturing warranty starts from your date of purchase. Please retain your sales receipt as a copy of this will be required to perform any warranty work.

Any repairs to James River Armory’s rifles NOT done by James River Armory voids warranty.

The use of reloaded ammunition, proof rounds, or factory ammunition that exceeds SAAMI specifications also voids warranty.

Shipping charges are not covered by warranty.

Before calling try these solutions to common problems:

M1 Garand
Check your ammunition; the proper ammunition for this weapon is labeled U.S. Caliber .30 Rifle Cartridge or Springfield 30.06. Commercial ammunition of these designations is available. Military designations are M2 Ball, M2 Armor Piercing, or M72 Match. The military ammunition is available and cheaper than the commercial.
Try other enbloc clips for early ejection or feed problems. Remember these clips were originally made for onetime use and can easily become defective.

Remember, these weapons were all produced decades ago for the field of battle within specific parameters oriented to that intended use. They are now designated as Curio and Relic firearms and they need to be handled and used with this in mind. Today’s modern firearms are built for the sportsman and target shooter and are constructed to a very different set of specifications for today’s civilian use.
