These rifles appear almost exactly as they did when they were turned in by Italian Army troops over 40 years ago.
What is new are the new James River Armory machined 8620 billet receiver, and new James River Armory 1-10 rifled barrels in 4150 steel.
The original stocks will have dings and dents from years of service and most are modified WW II era M1 Garand stocks.
None of the original metal parts have been refinished, and many, but not all, are modified WW II era M1 Garand parts.
The pictures are representative of the rifle that you will receive, and the appearance will vary between rifles, but all are good and serviceable, and all have been test fired.
Please note that part of the Important Ammunition REQUIREMENTS for these rifles (see our home page), is that they are not designed for either commercial, and .308 ammunition; they REQUIRE using military M80 ammunition.
